Marco Muia - Director

Marco has a BSc in Biological Sciences and an MSc in Environmental Resources and is a Corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management. He has worked at Cheshire County Council and managed the waste regulation function of Glyndwr District Council prior to joining The Environment Agency as a Waste Licensing Team Leader in April 1996. He left the Agency to form Oaktree Environmental and hasn't looked back since. Marco is a WAMITAB accredited assessor for the COTCs in waste transfer, treatment and inert landfill and provides expert witness assistance in planning and licensing appeals and in court cases. He also holds the level 4 COTCs for Hazardous Waste Treatment and Transfer.

Jane Muia - Director

Jane has a BSc (Hons) is Pharmacology and 16 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry.  She is also a Director of  Oaktree Environmental Ltd and also operates Oaktree Communications Ltd as a freelance medical writer, trainer and clinical research associate.

Robin Draper - Senior Consultant

Robin joined Oaktree in 2007, after working as a freelance consultant for 10 years. He is qualified to BSc. level in Agricultural Sciences and compliments this with his numerous years' of experience with the Environment Agency and Shropshire County Council, as well as community project work. He is also a Corporate member of the CIWM and is a qualified Technical Competence Assessor. Robin keeps us and our clients reliably updated each month with Industry events through his useful 'Legislation Update' newsletters. Please ask about this service.

Richard Sims - Senior Consultant

Richard joined us in January 2005. He graduated in Environmental Science at Aberystwyth University and is qualified to MSc level. He is our primary land surveyor and works with CAD on a daily basis to produce high quality plans for your site.

Jan Edwards - Senior Consultant

Jan joined Oaktree in 2008 and is qualified with a B.Ed. She originally trained as a teacher but then went on to work in Environmental Health for Wrexham Council and Chester City Council. After this she held positions with various local water companies and worked as a Team Leader for the Environment Agency for 7 years. She is also a member of the CIWM, and continues to work closely with the water companies in her present role at Oaktree.

David Young - Senior Consultant

David is our newest member having joined Oaktree earlier in 2009. He is our resident Air Quality specialist and at present assists with the Biomass projects by producing Air Emissions Modelling & Assessment Reports. He is qualified to PhD level in Environmental Energy Engineering, Pollution Control and Urban Air Quality. He has previously worked for Kings' College London, carrying out PPC inspections for numerous local authorities, and contributed to the daily running of the London Air Quality Network. Most recently, David has worked for private sector consultancies.

Amber Angell - Consultant & Business Development

Amber joined Oaktree in early 2008 after qualifying with a Geography BSc. degree from Royal Holloway University of London. Previously she had worked as a sales and environment co-ordinator for a Freight Forwarding company as well as various charity work. She recently became a graduate member of the CIWM.

Joanne Perry - Technical Administrator / Accounts

Jo joined Oaktree in August 2003, and after the directors, is the longest-serving member of Oaktree. She provides technical administrative support services to the rest of the team, and is our credit controller and accounts person. Jo is likely to be the first person who will greet you at Oaktree and will help to deal with all other areas of our business.
